While we were in W. Wales we also went to Tenby, (doesn't everybody?).

The night before we decided to visit the ancient walled town of Tenby, I was sitting in the caravan playing with the ISO settings of the Samsung NX 300. Like many others before me, I forgot to reset the ISO to 100, which is the setting that I try to leave the camera on, for the highest image quality that I can get out of the camera. So on the day we visited Tenby I was taking pictures at ISO 3200, instead of ISO 100. Now, normally, on my other cameras, I would have picked up the decreased IQ immediately upon chimping the image after capture. But with the Samsung NX 300, I was oblivious to my mistake, and carried on shooting all day with this "silly," ISO setting. In fact, I didn't notice my mistake until I got back home and reviewed the images on my pc. With my previous cameras, there would have been a terrible degredation, IMHO, of IQ. More so as I was shooting in jpg mode, and not RAW. In fact, I haven't found the need of shooting in RAW, since I started using this camera. Take a look at the image below. It is one of Tenby's walls, with a Greek Restarant inset. Look at tteh dark interior of the restaurant. Not perfect, no, but highly acceptable. Again, this is my opinion, and I would not hesitate to print out this image. Remember, this is a straight outb of camera, shot. I have done nothing at all to this image except upload it here. No MR, no horizon straightening, NOTHING, just up here to you.  :-)

We went to W. Wales, and visited Saundersfoot's, Sensory Garden

We travelled to W. Wales and visited the Sensory Gardem in Saundersfoot. This is a small garden that is filled with flowering shrubs and plants, with a small bubbling water feature. The plants attract a multitude of bees, and insects all trying to get to the nectar held in their depths.

Here is an example of a bee popping in for a little bit of the sweet stuff.  ;-)
The images from this  Samsung NX 300 and its 18-55 m.m kit lens,  is really quite good, Especially the close ups that it allows.
I also like the accurate colour rendition of thie camera. This is the first camera, that I have owned, that I am confident enough to use in just .jpg mode. Prior to this, I always captured images in RAW, and then processed them in whatever program that I needed to. This is a very tedious job when one comes back from a holiday with hundreds of pics to process. But this Samsung NX 300 does away with the need to have to do that in order to get sharp, images with correct colour balance. Once this camera is set to the prefernces that you choose, it gets a good, clear, image with accurate colour rendition every time, Take a look at the image below for a Cornish sunset. This is exactly as I saw it, and it is a straight out of camera shot, I have done nothing to enhance this image at all.

I went to Cornwall and took the Samsung NX 300 along. I have to say

That no matter how often I see it happen. I still amazes me how well this 18-55 m.m kit lens can focus in a close up situation. Remember, this is not a dedicated Macro lens, which is manufactured for close work, but a humble kit lens. Take a look at this close up of a little flower. This flower was no bigger than 1 inch, or 2.5 c.m in diameter.
